GMR 404/406 marine radar pedestal supports GMR 404's 4 ft and GMR 406's 6 ft open array and must be purchased separately in combination with these products.

All radar data is digitally processed within this solid pedestal via a digital signal processor and is efficiently presented on compatible Garmin chartplotter/multifunction displays (MFDs). Digital processing allows for more precise recognition, enhancement, and filtering of radar echoes — making the finished display easier to read and interpret.Garmin Pedestal for GMR 404 radar

This pedestal's two speed gear box allows for an antenna sweep of either 24 or 48 RPMs, with an input voltage of 10.5 - 38 volts DC and a typical input power of 45W. The pedestal also powers radar covering a range up to 72 nautical miles.

Garmin GMR 406 Radar

The GMR 406 open array radar (pedestal sold separately; click on accessories tab to view pedestal) allows you to scan more of what's out there while you're on the water. Whether ships, shores, birds or weather, you'll see it sooner with the powerful 6-foot GMR 406 and its smaller counterpart, the GMR 404.

See Everything in Sharper Detail

The GMR 406 is a 6-foot open array scanner with 1.1° beamwidth and a range of 72 nautical miles. With this intense beamwidth and 4 kilowatts of power, the 406 offers outstanding clarity, precision and target definition. You can also use the 406 to avoid traffic on the water with MARPA target tracking.

Easily Connect to the Garmin Marine Network

The GMR 406 transmits data over the Garmin Marine Network, a 100-megabit plug-and-play proprietary network that gives you the ability to expand your boat’s system as needed. Once connected to the network, any network-compatible Garmin chartplotter can double as your radar screen. And as an aid to locational awareness, you can overlay the GMR 406 radar image on the chartplotter's map page. You can also split the on-screen display so that you can view the map and the standard radar page simultaneously.
