This adapter works with the PC interface cable if you're using your GPS unit with a PC where there's no A/C power. Plugs into any standard cigarette lighter receptacle.

Power/data cable (bare wires)

This power and data cable has bare wires at the end so you can hard wire your GPS directly to a DC power source or some other electronic device. This allows you to send speed and position data to devices such as a chartplotter, computer, auto pilot, radar, etc.

This is how we make our GPS units talk to one another. Say your buddy has some great fishing spots saved as waypoints and you want to transfer them to your GPS. This cable bridges the gap so you can transfer data such as waypoints, routes and tracks between GPS units.
