Uses Google Earth which has satellite imagery, maps, terrain and 3D buildings
You must load the free Google Earth to your computer to use this product OR one of the available mapping programs. When you download the tracking unit to Google Earth you will see all the location points that have been recorded.
This unit will operate on it's internal battery for about 24 hours.
This highly sensitive receiver can get a signal and position from a much weaker GPS signal than most GPS receivers can detect. It can often receive a weak reflected GPS signal and still function.
That means you may be able to put it in a purse, a back-pack, the glove compartment of your car or even under your car. You should always test such placements to see how well they work. When using weak reflected signal the GPS unit will sometimes throw an incorrect location. Dirt, asphalt or concrete will reflect a GPS signal to a different degree. If you put it in the glove compartment or under the dash it will be using the signal coming through the glass of the windshield and the plastic dash board. If there is metal over it; it will not get a signal. You can often put it in the trunk of a car IF you place it under the rear window. Again, you don't want metal directly above it.
REMEMBER THAT THIS DEVICE IS A RECORDER; YOU HAVE TO CONNECT IT TO YOUR COMPUTER TO DOWNLOAD IT; YOU CANNOT GET THE INFORMATION FROM IT REMOTELY
Included software is Windows ONLY
